Looking like I won't have the help doing this install that I initially thought I would because my buddy works weekends, and I have weekends off.... and he lives 5hrs north of me.
SO...., might not get around to installing the Denon & 3-ways and glass work, and amp rack until spring/summer 09. New teaching job.... lots of work the first year. With this realization I decided to spend an afternoon and throw in something to get me through the coming months until I can complete the install.
So... here's the stats:
Deck: Stock
Fronts: Stock
Rears: disconected
Subs: Dual Tangband 740c 8" subs
Box: Ported 1.2cuft @ 28hz
Amp: Us Acoustics 2080. 80wx2@4ohm.
Subs are SVC4ohm wired series for an 8ohm load bridged on the amp... Thus giving a grand total of 80rms total/ 40rms per sub.
Sounds a lot better now. i've always loved these tangband subs, glad I didn't sell them before the move.
I only have one problem... I tried to tap into what I thought was the power antenna wire on the wiring harness... and use that as a remote turn on lead.... didn't work... anybody know what wire I can tap into so I don't have to use a toggle switch to turn my amp on?. Car is a Toyota 08 yaris hatch
