i know everyone favors ported boxes but what will be the best choice four sealed 15's or four sealed 12's? im not competing just for daily pounding?

I've only listened to one 15" in a sealed box but it was amazing for what it was - 2.0 cubes net with bracing and 700w. This thing was loud enough to force air out of the seems on the door panels - such as around the door handles and (in my car) the manual window crank.

What was it?

An SE15....amazing SQ, definitely decent SPL, 2 cubes sealed....loved it.

If you have the room, I'd go 15's. Why the debate?

well i have a 1989 caprice and im looking for the best possible setup so i decided to go with the ground pounder theme, right now i have eight cvr 12's i heard a few times cone area is the way to go but so now im debating on four sealed 15's or four ported 12's i have 13.5 cubes to play with...so what will be my best decision?

Man, if you already have 8 12s, you'll have a tough time beating that for ground pounding with 4 of them.... Even if you buy really decent ones... 4 Ported 15s may be another story.... But 8 12s.... That is a lot of cone area!
