Random album shuffling, media player question

Postby JimJ[VT] » Sat Sep 15, 2007 1:56 pm

I asked this over on SSA, but I'm still baffled by this...maybe somebody here can help.

Screenshot of my Foobar setup right now.

What I'm looking to do is have the player go through an album in order, then when it's done select a random album, play through it, select another random album...without me having to touch anything. Is this possible?

If not, are there any media players that can do this? Itunes isn't an option, it doesn't support FLAC.

I see what you are saying, but I have never seen it happen. Would be a cool option.

Last i heard, per the MPAA, if you utter or *think* the word "mp3" it's considered illegal.

They also consider FLAC, OGG, APE, WAV, MP4, REDBOOK and any other type of audio to be MP3's

Sorry, I don't know of a way to do what you want.

I figured out a way to do it, it just requires you load the entire playlist in the bottom frame, then it shuffles great, and are still able to manually select albums from the top frame...

But Windows took a crap on me, so I dug out my copy of WinXP Pro and am reinstalling it tonight :)

You could write an autoit script to do it... With winamp even!

This is a good idea, now i'm going to work on it.
