Ok, old time on 1M while doing other stuff was 1m 20s. This new one is with nothing going but superPI. 1m 13 s.

Not that great of an improvement.

Mine did 42 seconds... AMD3200 2ghz chip and a gig of ram... Seems a bit slow?

Sounds about right... I just did it in 37 and my 3200 is overclocked right now.

Stock it did 41, so sounds like you're about where you should be.

45 seconds here, too... Of course, a quick debug of the Super_PI program shows it's not optimized for multithreading, so 3 of my processors were sitting doing nothing...

Dang, if there isn't a 64bit or multi-threaded version, then all my dual 3.2 EM64T Xeons with 6g of ram will not be able to calculate Pi as fast as they should!
