FWIW, that car has some ties to car audio :)

After the demise of this company, the owner started a company that sold some of the first aftermarket audio stuff for cars, 4 tracks and eq/boosters. :D

Haha, yes!!! This car also had some of those early unique items, as some were equipped with an interesting recording device and iirc some even had a phone system...

Thor, who I assumed knew the answer by his post previous to this one, is correct. The car(s) pictured is a Muntz Jet. In their time they were more expensive than a cadillac, you could almost buy two for the price. They were still a steal in the sense that they were sold for $1000 less than they cost to produce...

Search a little on the company and guy, Earl 'Madman' Muntz, and what he did...I think the story is pretty interesting...
